A two-storey building which embodies high standards in sustainability including a biomass primary heating system, extensive use of natural materials, and an indigenous Douglas Fir timber stucture.

At the pre-contract stage the building has achieved an 'excellent' BREEM rating. The expected carbon footprint of the building is 80 tonnes as compared to 200 for a conventional building and 140 tonnes for best practice.
