Project Outline: A sensitive and modest residential proposal is intended, making use of the existing building as the cellular parts of the proposed house for bedroom & bathroom accommodation and providing a separate barn to house an open plan kitchen dining and living room.
Sustainability is at the heart of the design of this project. Linings are all of timber construction and the new barn is formed from a green oak frame, which will be made locally from local timber. The insulation is sheep’s wool.
